ICRI at the 3rd International Marine Protected Areas Congress (IMPAC)

International Marine Protected Areas Congress (IMPAC3) took place in Marseille, France on 21-25 October 2013. The International Coral Reef Initiative had a strong presence at IMPAC3 and convened the following events:

 

• • An Ocean+ evening event, held jointly with the French Coral Reef Initiative (IFRECOR), where major ICRI and IFRECOR achievements were presented.

 

• • A workshop on Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs).

 

• • A Knowledge Café on regional partnerships and cooperation, which fostered discussions among regional ICRI partners.

 

• A Knowledge Café on sustainable financing of MPAs, where some of the work of ICRI’s Ad Hoc Committee on Economic Valuation was presented.
