Meetings Other Relevant Events
The IUCN World Parks Congress is a landmark global forum on protected areas held every ten years. As the world’s most influential gathering of people involved in protected area management, it sets the global agenda for the following decade.
Interwoven into the eight cross streams are topics that are relevant to multiple streams, but are not standalone Congress Streams. Each theme will be incorporated as a specific focus of relevant streams. The special focus afforded to these issues means that they will allow special interest groups and initiatives to cluster their efforts and for Congress delegates to follow a particular thematic journey across the different streams, and to inspire bold new directions for each theme as part of the Congress outputs.
