The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC), the Directorate General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission (DG MARE), and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia (MMAF) are co-organising the 6th International MSPforum in Bali, Indonesia this year.
Objective: Bringing together MSP practitioners from around the world to discuss and exchange concrete examples and recommendations on strengthening the links between MSP and the three thematic pillars of the Updated MSProadmap: marine protection and restoration, climate change, and sustainable blue economy.
Application: Starting from mid June 2024
Process: Stakeholders interested in participating in the MSPforum will need to submit their application through a specific online form that will be disseminated soon. The organisers will select the participants based on geographical, gender and generational balance, prioritizing those involved in MSP processes, and who have not participated in previous editions.
