This high-level breakfast event, leading up to the Third UN Ocean Conference (UNOC-3) in June, aims to spark unified global action for the conservation, restoration, and sustainable management of coral reef ecosystems. The event seeks to catalyse commitments that go beyond rhetoric—transforming ambitious conservation goals into concrete, unified actions.
With a focus on building momentum for coral reef protection, discussions will cover the ICRI 2025-2027 Plan of Action, the Global Biodiversity Framework’s role in coral conservation, and the Global Fund for Coral Reefs’ success stories. Stakeholders from across sectors will come together to share insights, foster collaboration, and accelerate efforts to protect these vital ecosystems.
As coral reefs continue to face increasing pressures, the need for international cooperation has never been more urgent.
