First ever interactive multimedia coral restoration exhibition launched in Indonesia

Alex Mustard | Ocean Image Bank

ICRI member the Coral Triangle Centre, based in Indonesia, launched the country’s first Multimedia exhibit dedicated to coral restoration in September 2022.

The coral restoration exhibition merges art, gamification and science, but also CTC’s long-term partnership with the Mars Sustainable Solutions team, to further advance coral restoration in Indonesia.

The exhibit highlights the Mars Assisted Reef Restoration System (MARRS) method for coral restoration, which is a scalable, community-led, inclusive solution, capable of rapidly rebuilding reefs in areas dominated by mobile coral rubble beds.
